On Thursday 9th January 2014, we visited Visit to Hewitt and Topham Ltd.
Hewitt & Topham Ltd, a family run business, have been manufacturing precision cut gears since 1938 and due to their vast range of machines they are capable of cutting various types of gears from 6mm (1/4”) diameter up to an impressive 2600mm (102”) diameter. With a highly trained and skilled workforce, they are recognised as one of the leading engineering firms, for both quality gear manufacturing and precision engineering, serving a wide range of industries worldwide.
During the visit, we saw various machines being used to cut gears.
