Mr Malcolm Collins – Metal Casting Technologies

The Keighley Association of Engineers is pleased to announce its next event in the 2013 syllabus, a talk by Malcolm Collins who is the North East Branch Secretary for the ICME.
ICME is the Institute of Cast Metals Engineers, the Institute for all individuals involved in the castings industry and associated industries, founded in 1904.
ICME Members include foundrymen, design engineers, metallurgists, moulders, patternmakers, CAD technicians, methods engineers, researchers, students and suppliers to the industry. The aim of the institute is to bring together people from all sectors and levels, to offer help and advice, provide technical support and professional development opportunities.
Malcolm has worked within this industry for “more years than he cares to remember” and has a wealth of experience to share with us.
We may know something about “cast Iron” but what about less mainstream casting materials and associated technologies
