We visited the site for this company fabricating large-diameter bespoke pipe fittings.

We visited the majour supplier to the MOD that for over 50 years has been producing “Uniforms – Accoutrement”.

We had a guided tour of Outhwaite Ropes by the owner, Peter Annison. Peter is the person who understands, specifies and maintains the machinery at this unique site.

Built in the year 1784, the Grade II* listed Gayle Mill is the oldest unaltered Mill Building in the United Kingdom.

During the visit, we saw various machines being used to cut gears at this family run business.

As part of this visit we saw how multi-curved panels are made using “wheeling” technique.

We visited the A350 XWB wing production plant.
