Mr James Barlow – “Replacing Bridge 27, Haworth”

KWVR chief civil engineer James Barlow, will go into the placement of the new bridge which was the culmination of more than a decade’s work and completed in late 2024. He reports that “To deliver this scale of work with volunteers, supported by industry specialists, is a credit to the KWVR and its voluntary workforce, as well as the designers, contractors and other suppliers who worked alongside us”. This is an opportunity to get all the lowdown on this complex civil engineering project and one not to miss. Guests are most welcome to attend. Please book your places with your Secretary John Pankhurst. Tea/coffee will be available on your arrival. Please park in Scott Street Car Park- BD21 2JH (behind Keighley Wetherspoons and free after 6 pm). Turn right to leave the carpark and then first right on Scott Street – cross one road to go behind Keighley Library and Keighley Health Living Centre is on your right. Please report to Reception.
