On Monday 5th December, Richard Gibbon OBE, C Eng., F I Mech. E. gave us a presentation on his life as an engineer.

Richard Gibbon OBERichard who retired in 2003 from being Chief Mechanical Engineer at the National Railway Museum, and was awarded the OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2004 Queen’s New Years Honours List for his services to Museums.

Although now retired, he’s been busy ever since gave an interesting and amusing account of some of the memorable incidents in his 50 years as a Professional Mechanical Engineer.
